Homeschooling 101: An Open Session for New and Curious Homeschool Families
Maybe you're weighing homeschooling for the first time. Maybe you filed your notice months ago and still have questions you haven't found good answers to. Either way, this session is for you.
Join Lindsey Vose and Ciera Krinke for an hour on homeschooling in Montana that covers:
Montana homeschool law, in plain language. What the state actually requires, what it doesn't, and how to stay compliant without overcomplicating it.
The myths and the sticking points. Socialization, college admissions, "am I qualified?" for those still deciding. Curriculum overwhelm, motivation slumps, and mid-year course corrections for those already in it.
Building an education around your actual child. Learning styles, homeschool philosophies, and how to choose or change your approach without buying five curricula you'll never use.
Bring your questions. A big chunk of the hour is open Q&A, and the questions from experienced families are often the ones that help the newcomers most. No question is too basic or too far into the weeds.
Plus, a first look at something new. We're opening a statewide online community for Montana homeschool families, a real alternative to digging through Facebook groups for answers. Attendees at this event get first access to founding member spots before we open the doors to anyone else.
Your hosts:
Lindsey Vose, founder of Wild Wonders, a farm-based hybrid program in the Gallatin Valley. Lindsey spent 15 years teaching in public schools and holds a Masters in Education, so she's seen education from both sides.
Ciera Krinke, founder of Montana Homeschool Guide, home to free tools for comparing curricula, local programs, and homeschool events across the state.
